Erin’s guest hosts this week, is a woman who has been on the forefront of artistic innovation for fifty years. Her name is Jen Grey, also known as, Jen Zen. Jen Began her art journey at the age of 4 when she started writing and illustrating her first book. Jen created comics for the school paper, then took her first real job as a teenager through a company that allowed her to endeavor in a graphic design position, in the late 60’s. In college, Jen also pursued graphic design in college. Jen utilized her college to obtain new opportunities such as mixed media, conceptual art and much more. Jen then continued to graduate with her MFA.
As the obvious illustrates, Jen has an extensive background in the art industry. However, she also has been an educator for over for 50 years. She has helped students in many ways to not only teach them but help them recognize their successes and even reach some extraordinary success levels. Jen gives the audience some great insight on the history and current realms of the art world. During this episode, we also get to hear some amusing, educating and heartwarming stories that Jen gladly shares.
